This is excerpted from our wildly popular book "101 Nights of Grrreat Romance" by Laura Corn.
"If you’re looking for serious romance, you can’t do better than by combining food and clean sheets."
"Begin with a tease that doesn’t give away too much. Early in the week visit a gourmet sweet shop and pick up a couple of chocolate-covered strawberries (or make them yourself!). Put them on a pretty plate and leave them on his dresser with a note underneath.
‘I have more. Interested? Meet me Saturday afternoon at two. In the bedroom.’
Well now, there’s something that’ll keep him occupied the rest of the week! And when the appointed hour rolls around, don’t let him in the bedroom until you have the whole scene prepared: One big tray perched on your bed, loaded with bowls of sliced fruit. Try one cup of sweet, sticky, melted milk chocolate, and another that’s decadently rich, creamy and dark. Whipped cream, of course, piled high and sprinkled with brown sugar. (Half the fun is thinking about the ingredients!)
And then there’s the piece de resistance. It’s you, wearing the one outfit that’s always guaranteed to make men melt: a great big oversized white dress shirt. One of his of course. And that’s all.
Well not exactly all; as you move about, it becomes clear that there are some very interesting and extremely brief bits of satin and lace under there. But he’ll have to wait to see more.
Right now it’s time to crack open the bubbly, catch up on all the gossip of the week, and indulge in a little chocolate forplay. And enjoy the first picnic of your life where there are no ants.
This is only one of the 101 different romantic escapades Laura suggest in her book.
Feel free to replace strawberries with another delight that works best for you and your man. You can also be flexible with your choice of time and place and eve the outfit you wear. Do what works for YOU and HIM! For melted chocolate you’ll need to add butter or oil. You can ask at the local bakery or online for details.
As I’m fond of saying, making love (and making romance) is like dancing - I can give you the steps, but to get the most from it, add your own style to truly make it work for you!
